Interinstitutional agreement signed by Save the Children Mexico, Save the Children Sweden and the Department of Public Safety which establishes the Latin-American system of protection and tracking for missing children cases.

Violence

 

Consultation is provided to the federal senate on the problem of violence, utilizing the results of a study organized by the UN.

Reform to Article 18 of the Constitution

 

The General Constitution of the Republic was reformed to establish a policy governing children involved in judicial processes to be used throughout the nation.

Federal Government

 

The necessary contacts were made to participate in the agenda focused on children in 2007.

Community Education

 

Relations were maintained with the National Senate’s Education Commission to prolong the extension given to Community Preschool Education in order for it to remain autonomous.

North American Free Trade Agreement

 

The process of designing social policies for protecting the rights of children in the context of NAFTA has been initiated.

State Laws: Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, Mexico City

 

Advances are being made in validating the Federal Law for the Protection if the Rights of the Child in the state legislative bodies.
